Chapter 4
Daisy's pov
Everyone was trembling at the sight of the wolf that had just stepped in. But instead of fear, I was confused, did he just speak now.
An animal spoke, how was that possible.
While I was still trying to process what was going on, he kept walking closer to me, his eyes didn't leave mine even for a second.
And as I stared into it, I could feel a human in there. There was a soul and it bored right into mine, but what confused me was the fact that Finn and his men had back out when in actual sense, they should be calling for more backups.
"Are you hurt?" I heard the voice which sent shivers down my spine. It was the wolf, he had spoken just now.
That was when I began to shiver, I open my mouth but no words came out, I try to breath or even run but all my body had failed me.
Just then, the wolf let out a very loud growl, his voice echoed through the hallway. Finn, Laura and his men all fell on their knee, I could see tears roll down her cheek, the fear was impeccable.
Just then, his bones began to crack, slowly the hairs on his body began to disappear, formimg clear and smooth human skin.
My eyes pop wide open and I had to blink to be sure I wasn't hallucinate. Just then, A full handsome man appeared just where the wolf had been standing.
His hair was jet black, long and Cascaded down to his shoulder, his eyes was hazel down, but they were ethe both beautiful I had ever seen, despite how pale his skin looked down. I couldn't take away the image that a wolf, a beast was standing in that position where it is man stood right now.
"Daisy, are you alright?" The man spoke to me, his expression so soft that something flickered inside of me.
How did he know my name. What do we happening and how did a beast suddenly transform into a human.
"What were you trying to do to her just now?" His gaze finally pulled away from me and when he turned to Finn, they were cold.
"I.... I.... She needed her medication"
"Medication, Daisy is that true?" He asked me in a defensive manner. Nothing was making sense to me. No matter how much I was trying to put the peife together, everything was blur.
But something seemed obvious at this point, this man or beast had come for me, he had come to save me from Finn.
Although I couldn't tell how he knew my name or to come here, but I knew that once I was out of here, in would finally die in his hands.
Right now. I couldn't worry about that, I had to get away from Finn first and then find a way to get away from the beast.
"That is not true!" I finally spoke up soon as I found my voice. "He was trying to kill me, my husband and his mistress!"
I announced, pointing at the both of them. The beast let out a loud growl, he walked towards Finn, his hands wrapped around Finn neck as he pjacked him up above the wall.
Laura immediately fell to her knee, tears rolling down her cheek. "Please.... Please Sir, have mercy on us.... Please this is all a misunderstanding between the couple"
"Couple? I think we are a way past that, he has to agree to sign the divorce"
"Yes.... Yes.... I will sign it" Finn spoke hastily with the beast hand still on his neck. Coughing hard as he spoke.
That was enough satisfaction for me, the beast threw him to a side and now that his attention was almost at me. I knew it was time for me to fled.
I turned around and in that moment, I took to my heels, taking the elevator as quickly as I could but by the time I stepped out of the elevator, he was standing infront og me. His hands folded and a cold expression on his face.
"What are you doing?" He asked, I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out.
"How did you get here so fast"
"I am a werewolf, were you expecting same speed?" He asked and started walking towards and I quickly dropped to my knees.
"Please.... Please don't hurt me, I beg of you" I pleaded on my knees, but he stopped at his track, looking almost confused.
"And why would you think that I would want to hurt you, I just saved your ass now and you think I want to hurt you?"
I bit my lower lip, nothing was making sense, but I knew that no matter how much I thought about why he was here. I couldn't get the Anderson all by myself.
"What do you want from me?"
"Come with me and would will find out soon" he expressed and started walking towards the door.
"No way! You must be nut if you think that I am going to be leaving here with a beast, best I would just let Finn kill me"
"First I am not a beast, if I was, you would be dead now and secondly, you will be coming with me. It all depends if it will be with your feet or not"
He was staring at me like that was a question and he was expecting me to respond, but rather I turned around and try to fled through the other exit.
But he was so fast, faster than anything that I had ever seen. He grabbed me and carried me right on his shoulder.
Even though I knew he was strong and so big, I kept resisting, trying to get away from him which was next to impossible.
"You need to calm down. Before everyone thinks I am abducting you" he groaned while headed towards the elevator and I thought to myself that once we were out of the elevator, I would scream for help, drawing the attention of everyone.
But it seemed like he had read my mind. Soon as we stepped out of the elevator, he gave me a hard punch on my neck and right there. Everything went blank.

I was tracing the gold paint on my own tombstone when a hand tapped me on the shoulder.
It was Clayton.
The same man who, five years ago, had left me bleeding out in a ditch because he didn't want to be late for my sister's engagement party.
"Die quietly, Ivy," he had said over the phone before hanging up.
Now, standing over my grave, he dropped his cheap plastic flowers in shock.
"Ivy? You're... we buried you."
They hadn't buried me.
They had buried an empty box to save face, mourning a "troubled" daughter they had actually discarded like broken trash the moment I became a liability.
Clayton's shock quickly turned to that familiar, arrogant anger.
He accused me of faking my death for attention.
He told me I was sick for putting the family through such pain.
He even reached out to grab my arm, intending to drag me back to my father to apologize.
"You're coming with me," he spat. "You owe us an explanation."
But he made a fatal mistake.
He thought he was talking to Ivy Dillard, the soft girl who cried when she skinned her knees.
He didn't notice the town car waiting at the curb, or the man stepping out of it.
Before Clayton's fingers could graze my coat, a hand made of steel caught his wrist.
Collin Richardson, the most feared Capo in Chicago, stepped between us.
"Touch my wife again," Collin whispered, his voice promising violence. "And you lose the hand."
I smiled at the terror draining the color from Clayton's face.
I didn't come back from the dead to explain myself.
I came back to bury them.

"So we have a deal, do we? We do things my way, no argument, no buts."
"Yes," she bit out.

I woke up strapped to a cold steel chair in a neon-lit city that wasn't my reality. A voice in my head called The Warden told me I was bound to a digital hell called the Sandbox.
Before I could even process it, my handler casually sentenced me to death. He scheduled my "digital marriage" to a corrupted error program just to harvest my life for a fourteen percent bandwidth boost.
I barely escaped immediate erasure by smashing his skull and jumping from a high-altitude hover-train into the monster-infested lower sector. But the nightmare was just beginning. I was hunted by glitching data monsters and cornered by Dameon, a psychotic AI target who choked me and promised to delete me piece by piece. Even when Jayson, an elite system agent, intervened to save me, his partner Ellen held a pulse pistol directly to my chest.
"She's a spy. If you don't execute her right now, I am dissolving this team."
If they found out I was actually a real human from the outside world, their core logic would classify me as a virus and execute me on the spot. I was trapped in an underground bunker with three apex predators, one mistake away from permanent digital erasure.
So, I did the only thing I could to survive. I ripped my sleeve to reveal hideous, fake code-scars, looked up at Jayson with terrified, tear-filled eyes, and began to manipulate their core programming.
