Bound to His Rival Chapter 1

Vera Nightingale was the only human in the werewolf pack, raised alongside Alpha Kieran Ashford since childhood.

When she was 14 and rogues cornered her, Kieran was the one who fought them off.

When she was 16 and a Beta confessed to her, Kieran kissed her in front of the entire pack and made it clear she belonged to him.

The day she turned 18, Kieran announced to everyone that she was his mate, his future Luna.

Vera thought she had found her happily ever after. Then their marking ceremony arrived, and Kieran did not show.

She waited until moonset. When he finally arrived, he had an Omega with him.

"She reminds me of how you used to be," he told her. "I want to keep her."

Vera agreed. Kieran thought her love for him meant she would share.

He was wrong. In Vera's mind, betrayal only happened once. After that first time, everything that followed did not matter anymore.

If that was how he wanted to play it, she would find herself a new mate.

When Vera Nightingale returned to the estate, the moon had already set.

She walked to Kieran Ashford's bedroom door, intending to ask why he had stood her up today, but heard heavy breathing from inside.

Vera peered through the crack in the half-open door, and her face went deathly pale. Kieran had a naked woman pinned beneath him, his shaft driving into her body over and over.

The burning desire in his eyes was a kind of madness Vera had never seen before.

The woman had her arms wrapped around Kieran's neck, her face flushed. "Alpha, does Ms. Nightingale make you feel this good?"

The woman's voice dripped with sweetness, but Kieran suddenly grabbed her by the throat.

"You don't get to say her name in bed. Wendy, I warned you. I'm only sleeping with you to breed you.”

"Vera is the one I've chosen to love."

Hearing this, Wendy Quinn showed no fear. Instead, she flipped them over and straddled Kieran.

"Alpha, I'm the fated mate the Moon Goddess chose for you. She's just a human. Why fight the whole pack for her sake?”

"Unless the Alpha prefers it like this..."

Wendy moved her hips, and Kieran's eyes darkened. He gripped her waist and thrust hard.

Two bodies tangled together, completely unaware of Vera standing at the door with tears streaming down her face.

She spun around and leaned against the cold wall.

Werewolves had intense desires, which a human body could barely handle, let alone conceive.

However, Kieran was the pack's Alpha. He needed pups to continue the bloodline.

In the room, Kieran's deep voice sounded again. "Wendy, after you give birth, I'll give you enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life. After that, get out of my and Vera's sight."

Hearing that, Vera could not hold back a bitter laugh. Did Kieran really think she would accept another woman's pup and just continue living with him?

She was human, but humans had their own principles and boundaries. She would never accept this.

Vera wiped the tears from her face, turned, and walked toward the estate gates.

She had seen Kieran's true nature and refused to stay in this filthy place any longer. But where could she go? Outside werewolf territory, she had nowhere.

She was just an orphan the previous Alpha and Luna had kindly taken in. No parents, no family, and thanks to Kieran's interference over the years, not even friends.

Vera walked back to her room in a daze. The next second, someone covered her eyes.

Warm breath fell against her ear, sharp fangs grazing her tender skin.

"Long time no see, Vera..."

That voice belonged to the vampire lord, Soren Blackwell.

Vera did not rush to answer. She wanted to see what Soren would do next.

"Kieran promised you a marking ceremony, then slept with another she-wolf and made you wait half a day. Vera, do you regret rejecting me for a beast like him?"

The moment Soren finished speaking, he felt her tears against his palm. In the darkness, his eyes glowed faintly red with undisguised killing intent.

Then he heard Vera's voice. "Soren, I regret it.”

"I'll be your queen. Take me away."
