Chapter 1

I let out a throaty gasp with his full length inside me, my body vibrating with every thrust. He claimed my lips within seconds stopping my breathing leaving hot open mouthed kisses along my jaw and whispered into my ears “You feel so good baby” his voice strained as he continued pumping into me. His rough callous hands squeezed my thighs and his green eyes met mine. I tangled up my fingers into his short gold hair about to kiss him when the shrill sound of my alarm clock woke me from my steamy dream. My eyes shot open and the lingering heat of desire kissed my skin lightly. With my chest still heaving in an attempt to steady my rattled heart, I pressed my thighs together to keep my throbbing core at bay. A frustrated groan escaped my lips as I stretched my hand blindly to turn off the consistent ringing. Tumbling off my bed I crashed hard on the floor with an oomph. I've been having the same dream for almost three weeks now. Although I'm not complaining about the moist it left in my panties but the man in my dreams was someone I had never seen before. Yet almost every night I dreamt of him fucking my brains out. Each time more intensely than the last. A sigh escaped my lips before I picked myself off the ground and walked lazily to the toilet, my head still ringing from the fall. Showering and slipping on a pair of jeans and crop top, I rushed downstairs for breakfast. “Good morning dad” I greeted as I approached the kitchen. “Mornin’ kiddo. How'd you sleep” he said without looking up from the table, placing a plate of eggs on them Heat crept up my face recalling the dream I had but I desperately ignored the feeling “Dad… I'm almost eighteen. I think we can loose the nickname” “Never” he said with a beaming smile. You'll always be my little girl” leaning over, he planted a kiss on my forehead. “You ready?” he called from the living room with the rest of our luggage on his shoulders. I quickly finished the last bite of my breakfast and nodded, grabbing my jacket. As I stepped outside, I stole one last look at the house. My dad was a delta. And ever since my mom died, he'd been taking on assignments that required us to move a lot. But we were finally going home to our pack. “Seatbelt kiddo” my thoughts were drawn back to my dad. His frown lines were more visible lately and I know he was worried but tried not to show it. I sighed, fumbling with the strap until I heard the click. I leaned back, staring out the window, my thoughts drifting. He gave me a fleeting look before zooming off. Going home felt surreal. Would my old friends recognize me? Did they already meet their wolves? I hadn’t. Seven years, and I still hadn’t awakened mine. I didn't know what to expect. It was enough time for someone to change. I knew things couldn't be the same as they were, frozen in time, but I also didn't want them to change too much. “Nina…” my dad's voice reeled me back into reality. “Did you hear what I just said” “What?” “I said going back home night be good for you… you'll get to connect to your roots and you might get lucky and finally awaken your wolf” “I don't think so dad. Maybe I wasn't just meant to. Something is wrong with me.” I murmured avoiding his gaze “Hey, hey, hey” “Don't say that. You are strong and beautiful and smart. You'll get your wolf in time kiddo” I knew my dad was just trying to comfort me but I still felt indifferent. His wolf awakened when he was thirteen. He was a prodigy serving under the former alpha and now his son. I gnawed at my bottom lip to stop the dam threatening to explode. “Oh kiddo, don't cry” my dad stretched out his hand to wipe off the tear I didn't know I was already shedding, his gaze was sympathetic as he gave me a sad smile. I buried my face in his palm, letting out sniffles before looking outside the windshield. My eyes widened “Dad look out!” I was too late. Before my dad could take control of the situation our car hurtled out of control, tumbling across the road. My head snapped back, my ears ringing from the crash of metal and shattering glass. A deafening bang sounded, and the world went black. ***** The wails of dismembered wolves were deafening and the air reeked of burnt flesh. Fire danced across the buildings of an unfamiliar terrain, casting everything in a hellish glow. My breath came in short, ragged gasps as I tried to breathe through the thick smoke. My blurry vision trailed towards the chaos, I limped forward searching for someone. A sharp pain exploded in my chest, I clutched the silver dagger adorned with sapphire that was driven into me. I fell to my knees looking up at my attacker but it was all shadows, I couldn't make out a face. A lump was caught in my throat, dread washed over my being tearing my sanity apart till I laid at the feet of my attacker, helplessly as life slowly drained out of me. ***** The sound came back to me first. Muffled voices. A high-pitched ringing in my ears accompanied by dizziness and disorientation. I blinked my eyes a couple of times, clearing them of white powder. “She's awake Xavier” I faintly heard a voice amidst the chaos in my head. A large hand wrapped around me almost crushing my frame. A sigh left my dad's lips before he spoke. “You scared me kiddo” his voice was fragile, laced with relief. “Wh-what happened?” I said hoarsely “An accident. I didn't see the truck till it was too late” his lips were tight, his eyes filled with guilt. I put my hand in his shoulder squeezing lightly “It wasn't your fault dad. See, I'm fine” “You were healing slower than usual and I was worried sick” he said as his forehead crumpled. “We were able to get you here on time thanks to Dr Sarah” I furrowed my brows “What do you mean?” “There weren't any broken bones or internal injuries but you were unconscious for three days” I just hummed as a response. I wasn't really surprised at my incompetence. I couldn't even heal myself. “I'm fine now dad, you don't need to worry anymore” I gave him a small smile “You can skip school tomorrow if you don't feel like it, take some time to rest” “Dad… I'm fine… really” my dad gave me a hesitant look before standing up from my bed and going to meet the pack doctor. They both left my new room after the doctor examined me for the hundredth time. I tried to force myself back to sleep, but after a while of tossing and turning in my bed, I finally gave up on the idea. I huffed and rolled out of my bed throwing on my track suit. I needed to clear my head if I was going get any sleep before school. My injuries were already healed so it wouldn't be much of an issue. I couldn't risk looking like a raccoon with dark circles around my eyes. Deciding not to go through the front door because of my father's ever watchful eye, I slid open my window and snuck out.

Eleanora arrived at the city's most exclusive club with a custom cake, ready to surprise her boyfriend of six years, Kason, for his birthday. But when she opened the suite door, she found him pressing her cousin Brielle against the sofa, kissing her passionately. Brielle splashed red wine over Eleanora's silk dress, mocking her as a passionless dead fish. "Get out. Don't stand there and ruin my night." Kason didn't even look guilty as he waved her away like a nuisance. Fleeing in tears, Eleanora accidentally drank a spiked cocktail and stumbled into a dark penthouse pool. She was pulled from the water by Horace Reeves—Kason's terrifying, billionaire uncle and the ruthless black sheep of the family. Drugged and hallucinating, she clung to him and whispered Kason's name. "Since he didn't want you, I'll be happy to take his place." That single word triggered a dark, possessive fury in the billionaire as he pinned her to his bed, claiming her completely. Waking up covered in bruises, she realized her six years of blind loyalty had been a complete joke. She had escaped a cheating boyfriend only to be trapped by the most dangerous predator in Manhattan. Forced by her mother to attend a family dinner that very night, she was suddenly dragged into a dark VIP room by Horace. He kissed her brutally against the door, just as Kason and Brielle walked by and pushed it open. Seeing his uncle pressing his ex-girlfriend against the wall, Kason's jaw went slack in absolute shock. Horace slowly lifted his head, his eyes like chips of ice as he looked at his nephew. "Get out."
The Broken Mother's Ruthless Revenge

My little boy died on the operating table during a minor, routine surgery. That exact same night, my billionaire husband bought out the Hudson River for a massive, million-dollar fireworks show. It wasn't to mourn our child. It was to celebrate his first love's son being discharged from the hospital. When I confronted him with our son's death certificate, he sneered and accused me of hiding the boy to get his attention. He held his mistress in our home, watched her fake a panic attack, and threatened to bankrupt my family if I didn't get on my knees and apologize to her. But the most horrifying truth came from a terrified hospital nurse. My son's anesthesia was deliberately kept low during the procedure to keep his tissue viable to save the mistress's child. He was awake and in agonizing pain while his own father planned a grand celebration for another man's son. I couldn't understand how a father could be so completely heartless. How could he sacrifice his own flesh and blood just to please a woman who constantly manipulated him? Looking at the ashes on my son's favorite toy, my paralyzing grief evaporated, replaced by a cold, unyielding rage. I arranged my little boy's funeral alone in the freezing rain, left my wedding ring on the counter, and walked straight into the private hotel suite of my husband's most ruthless business rival. "Let's take him down," I said.
