Chapter 2
Nana rushed over, her aged mother moved swiftly as it could carry her and tapped Amelia on her shoulders. The sudden jolting of her body had awakened her and she just was in time to see her eyes return back to normal from its yellowish colour.
She saw her skin covered in sweat and she knew, it's the usual thing she suffers from. She sat at the edge of her bed and took her hand until Amelia spoke "Nana, why are you sitting there like a baby that will roll off my bed" she teased, climbing out of bed.
She stood up upright and yawned, stretching her thin body as if she was tired from an all night exhaustive work. Nana glared at her, just what kind of a girl is Amelia?
"Amelia, do you remember anything about your nightmares when you wake up in the morning?" She asked. This girl has been suffering severe nightmares and her eyes open and close, each time leaving her eyes glowing yellow.
"No Nana. I don't remember anything. Besides, I don't think I have ever had a dream in my life" Amelia replied naively. Besides waking up weak and exhausted, there's nothing else she can say.
Nana nodded and let Amelia go. She sat and sighed softly. She'd told her to go and fetch some herbs to make a concoction for her. She'd been weak and sickly since she was a child. She is the daughter of the Pack's Beta.
Amelia has been unfortunate from birth. She was born while her mother died. She was abandoned and thrown away by her father who tagged her cursed.
She had suffered rejection and humiliation and her only sin was being wolfless, the cursed daughter of the Beta. Her story resonates in the ears of everyone in the Cliffwood pack.
Amelia really looks weak. She appears fragile and weightless as if a little storm would carry her off. Nana sighed softly. She's a wolfless omega and yet, suffers nightmares. What game exactly was the moon goddess playing with Amelia's life?
Amelia had just returned from the forest where she went to fetch some herbs. She slung the apprentice bag across her shoulders. The great healer welcomed her and told her to have her breakfast but Amelia refused.
"Oh no,Nana. I'll just get to the water centre and get us water" she said, half way through the door but the healer stopped her "Amelia....go well..." Nana said, concerned that she works harder than her fragile body looks.
She should have taken her breakfast first. Amelia nodded and dashed off.
When Amelia arrived at the water centre, she waited patiently in queue. She doesn't have a friend. No one was interested in talking to her, she's wolfless and useless and more than that, she's cursed.
When it was her turn to fetch water, she was pushed off and because she's light and weightless, she lost her balance and came falling face down to the earth.
"Oh, the cursed thing wants to fetch water as well?" One of the girls mocked and others giggled aloud. They all spat on Amelia and seeing how she struggled to stand back on her feet, her dress was now stained with the red mouldy soil.
"What do you think girls, she needs a bath, right?" The girl who pushed her earlier said,in a pitiful but mockery tone. She placed her finger on her lips, staring at Amelia in amusement.
"Yes Linda. She might be wolfless and useless but being dirty will only magnify her cursed personality. Let's help her with a bath, we're good people after all, "another girl added.
Amelia knew what it meant when they said they were going to give her a bath. She held her bucket and said "Stay away from me. I haven't done anything to you all"
"Did you hear her? She said she hadn't done anything to us. She doesn't want to accept our generosity and kindness. But because we are born full blood, we can't help it but be good to her anyways, right girls?" Linda chuckled aloud.
They pulled Amelia forcefully and forced her under the running water...

I thought I had found my savior in Alpha Camron after my adoptive family was brutally slaughtered.
But as I lay chained to the damp dungeon wall, my inner wolf silenced by silver poison, he sneered and rejected me.
"Did you really think I loved you? You were just a dumb, loyal dog."
He confessed that he had orchestrated my family's murder to frame Lycan King Asher.
Blinded by his lies, I had plunged a silver blade into Asher's heart—the only man standing in Camron's way to the throne.
My step-sister Erica then arrived to deliver the final, crushing blows.
"He was your true fated mate, Ella," she whispered with sadistic glee. "He loved you so much he retracted his aura, leaving himself defenseless so you wouldn't get hurt killing him."
Worse, she laughed at my swollen belly, revealing the baby I carried wasn't Camron's. He had paid a filthy Rogue to defile me in the dark.
The man I murdered was the other half of my soul, and the monster I trusted had destroyed everything I loved.
My heart simply gave out, drowning in an abyss of pure agony and hatred.
Opening my eyes again, the stench of burning flesh was gone.
I was back in my attic bedroom on my fifteenth birthday.
Today was the day my evil stepmother would start her deadly plot.
This time, I would tear them all apart.

Bridget, a ruthless twenty-first-century Wall Street analyst, woke up violently coughing up murky lake water in a decaying 1978 slum.
She quickly realized she was trapped in the body of a naive, marginalized teenager who had just committed suicide over a boy's cruel rejection.
The original girl had been mercilessly bullied by a fake rich kid named Kurtis and his cruel followers. They had publicly read her desperate love letters out loud, mocking her as a toad trying to eat swan meat, and simply watched as she threw herself into the freezing water. Now, her impoverished mother was left weeping by the bed, facing catastrophic debt and total social ruin in their small town. Everyone expected the surviving girl to wake up begging and crying for the boy who humiliated her.
Instead, a cold, calculating fury took over Bridget's analytical mind.
"I already died in that lake. That stupid girl is never coming back."
How could anyone throw their life away for a pathetic, vain clown wearing a mass-produced fifty-dollar watch? To Bridget, those uncollected love letters weren't symbols of teenage heartbreak. They were toxic assets. They were reputation landmines left out in the open that threatened her new family's survival.
Locking away the dead girl's weak emotions, Bridget forced her freezing, exhausted body out of the clinic bed. She set a hard three-month deadline to drag this family out of tier-one poverty. But first, she was marching straight to the volunteer camp to liquidate those liabilities and completely destroy the people who drove this body to death.

Ciel Miller opened her eyes to the blinding lights of a Manhattan ballroom, realizing she had been reborn on the exact night her life was ruined.
On the stage, the billionaire patriarch of the Chavez family was proudly announcing her engagement to his arrogant grandson, Harry.
In her past life, Ciel had blindly accepted his outstretched hand. That single step plunged her into a suffocating marriage filled with public humiliation and psychological torture, slowly draining her life away until she died. Harry had treated her like a pathetic stray dog, flaunting his absolute ownership while systematically destroying her.
Now, as the polite applause echoed, Harry extended his hand with a sickening smirk, waiting for her to lower her head and submit.
Instead, Ciel stood perfectly rigid and publicly rejected him in front of the entire New York elite.
Harry's face drained of color, while his family quickly mocked her.
"This is a cheap, embarrassing trick to get his attention," his sister sneered.
Harry's arrogant smirk crawled back. He fully believed she was just throwing a childish tantrum to make him jealous, convinced she was absolutely nothing without his wealth and status.
But Ciel looked at the man who had killed her in her past life with freezing disgust.
Then, she turned to the powerful patriarch and dropped a bombshell that left the entire ballroom gasping for air.
"If the family insists on taking care of me, I will marry into the Chavez family."
"But I want to marry the comatose war hero. I want to marry General Deacon Chavez."
She would rather spend the rest of her life with a "vegetable" than wake up next to a monster.

On the day of our mating ceremony, I wore a beautiful white dress, waiting to become the Luna of the pack. To ensure my Fated Mate, Kade, loved me for my soul and not my rank, I had hidden my true Alpha nature and lived as a fragile Omega.
But instead of my groom, my best friend Selena walked into the room. She flashed a fresh silver rejection rune on her wrist, smiling as she told me the ceremony was canceled. Kade had chosen her, the daughter of a powerful Beta, to secure his Alpha transition.
When I rushed to his study in disbelief, the words I heard through the cracked door shattered my heart completely.
"She's just an Omega. Her value doesn't compare to the loyalty of Selena's father."
Kade laughed coldly with his friends, calling our sacred bond a leash. He even planned to keep me trapped in the packhouse as a docile, broken toy under his and Selena's rule.
Every whispered promise of love was just a lie built for power. My disguise to test his true heart became the very excuse he used to discard me like trash. How could the man who promised to cherish my soul be so utterly ruthless?
Wiping my tears, I kicked the door open and publicly initiated the impossible: I, the "weak Omega," formally rejected him. After smashing a whiskey bottle over his head, I walked straight into the territory of his most feared rival—his older brother, Rowan. This time, I would tear his world apart.

Kaylee woke up to the smell of rotting leaves and blood, realizing she had transmigrated into the grimdark fantasy novel she was reading last night.
A robotic system in her head immediately delivered a death sentence: she was the tribe's vicious cannon fodder, and the male lead—a brutally tortured slave named Elijah—was currently dying on a totem pole outside.
"If he dies, you will face instant soul-detonation."
Kaylee rushed to the plaza, using her villainous authority to stop the execution and drag his mangled body back to her hut.
But saving him was a nightmare.
The original owner's sadism had traumatized him so deeply that her gentle touches and clean bandages only triggered his PTSD.
His feral energy spiraled out of control, his golden eyes burning with paranoid terror as he waited for a new, twisted psychological game.
To keep his energy from detonating and killing them both, Kaylee was forced to act like a monster.
"I didn't save you because I care. A dead slave is useless to me."
Only her cruel insults and threats of future torture calmed his broken mind.
Adding to her despair, she stumbled upon the novel's supposedly innocent heroine in the forest, only to hear her system detect a terrifying anomaly.
The fragile heroine had her own cheat system.
Trapped with a paranoid future-tyrant and a rival player manipulating the tribe's strongest warriors, Kaylee shoved a bowl of hot stew at the bleeding slave with a mocking sneer.
To survive this hell, she had to play the villain perfectly.
