Rotten Love Chapter 1

When my body was being dismembered, my fiance was helping my cousin choose her wedding dress.

When he received my distress call, he said with disgust, "I hope you never come back! You can die with the bastard in your womb! Don't ever call me again. The mentioning of your name makes me sick!"

After that, he found a body part of me in a water tank on the rooftop of a hotel.

He thought it was a prank, so he actually ordered white lilies and candles to be delivered to my doorstep.

Only when he found my head buried in the grass under his feet on the day of our wedding did he realize that it wasn't a prank.

...

After I died, my soul floated in midair. I looked as if my body was being dismembered into countless pieces.

The phone to the side with a shattered screen still showed me and Jack Spencer's engagement photo.

Right now, he was helping his childhood sweetheart choose her wedding dress.

Anna Renolds wrapped her arms around Jack's coquettishly. "Jack, what if something really happened to Laura? I don't want the two of you to have an argument because of me."

Jack's face darkened. "What could possibly happen to her? She cheated on me and then caused your parents' death. Someone like her deserves to die and her body dismembered!"

At the mention of her parents, Anna immediately began crying in Jack's arms.

As for me, I could only watch as my fiance pulled my cousin into a tight embrace. There was nothing I could do.

I wanted to explain things to my fiance but I couldn't.

When my aunt and uncle picked me up from school, we got involved in a car crash. I became the only survivor.

My cousin, Anna, became an orphan and began living at my house.

From that day onwards, Jack never even looked at me.

He would have me go out at three o'clock in the morning in my pajamas to get something to eat for Anna. He would also force me to pray for Anna so that she could have a better life.

I was also a victim of the car crash, but to Jack, I was more like the inflicter.

Jack wiped the tears from the corners of Anna's eyes and kissed her cheeks.

He was my fiance, but he would never kiss me. All he would do was vent his lust out on me. Even if I cried out loud, he would still not care about me.

Anna was wearing a white wedding dress and all the members of staff complimented her on how good she looked. They would say that she was the most beautiful bride they had ever seen.

Jack also looked at her with eyes full of affection. This was a scene that I had seen countless times in my dreams.

I would wear the wedding dress he had specifically ordered for me, put the ring on me, and live a happy married life.

Now, all of that had turned to ash.

Anna said with a smile, "Let's get Laura to be my bridesmaid when we get married. She is my cousin after all."

Jack had been smiling, but his face darkened when he heard my name. He then said in a cold voice, "She's not worthy of being your cousin. Her presence is a humiliation to our wedding. Don't bring that up again."

I knew he hated me to the guts, but hearing those words myself still made my heart ache.

The words were like knives stabbing into my heart. The pain was excruciating.

'But Jack, you were the one who said that I was your perfect bride and the wife that you would spend the rest of your life with.'

Why did he suddenly change?

The next time he saw me was at the rooftop of a hotel.

He stood by the water tank and looked at a part of my body with disgust.

A perimeter was set and the putrefied arm attracted the attention of everyone present.

Jack's name could be seen on the arm. I secretly tattooed his name on my arm when I had a crush on him when we were little.

That... was my arm.

My heart skipped a beat and I became nervous as well.

Would he recognize that the arm belonged to me?

Would he realize that I had been murdered?

But when I went to his side, I realized how wrong I had been.

"Is this one of Laura Walker's pranks? Is she trying to scare me with a broken arm? She really is willing to do anything to ruin our wedding." Jack punched the wall next to him.

Jacob's voice was terrifyingly calm at the scene of the crash. He wasn't looking at me. He was looking at the gurney being rushed past us. He was holding her hand. Not mine.
