The Rejected Alpha and His Human Mate
"Mate!" He growled, grabbing her by the waist as he leaned in to sniff her neck.
Her mouth hung open in shock and her eyes bulged as he swiftly dodged a spear sent their way, carrying her along with him, his nose still on her neck.
Who was this stranger? And how could he cling onto her this way in the middle of a battle? Wasn't he afraid of death?
On the clanging of the iron spear against the floor, her eyes went even wider as the red veins in them began to get visible.
Wait a minute!
She raised her right knee into his groin just then and he let out a loud groan before letting go of her.
On seeing his face, an angry snarl formed on her lips and she drew her gun, disgust filling up her entire being.
This was the face of their worst enemy, the face of the man she was meant to kill, the face of a known lunatic.
How dare he cling unto her that way with his wet snot on her neck?
"Mate?" He moaned softly as he put his hands up in the air, his piercing eyes never leaving her face.
Mate? Was he out of his ducking mind? Was he ... like possessed by an animal spirit or something?
'Shoot on sight.' The words of her commander rang in her ears, startling her.

Chapter 4
"Stop this madness I beg of you!" Her throat was getting hoarse and her voice rougher as she kept screaming her way down the forest.
"You can't do this to me! You simply can't!" Her wide eyes were raw red as she glared at his side profile.
Sighing, he turned back to face her and for a moment, she felt they would bump into the bark of a gigantic tree and die off.
"The track! Road! Focus on the road!" Her eyes grew wider.
Chuckling, he gave her a wink and turned back to face the road. "Do you care about me now?"
Barking out a laughter of disbelief at her situation, she hissed a curse at him beneath her breath before easing into the chair, with her hands now cuffed right in front of her.
Where the fuck was he taking her?
"We are going to my pack." He said and a new wave of terror hit her.
"Were you listening to my...my thoughts?" She whispered with shaky breaths.
"Your thoughts? Pffft." He turned to face her again, his now green eyes glinting with mischief.
"Were you thinking about me?"
"You are a crazy bastard! Let me go!" She yelled, frantically waving her hands about in the air.
With an irritated sigh from him, she felt herself jerk forward as he pressed the brakes of the gigantic monstrosity of a vehicle he was riding on.
Breathing heavily, she turned to face him with anger and hatred in her eyes.
"I should have gagged you."
"Fuck you!" She screeched, her throat going raw as her voice ceased.
"Gladly, but with your consent, mate." He snickered.
Was this really the terrorist she and her team have been hunting down?
Why did he look...feel so...so boyish and free and EVIL!
Yes, he is evil! Hence the reason for her kidnap.
"My people will come for me." She threatened and turned away from him towards the window, not wanting to hear what else he had to say.
"Your name. What is your name?"
Snapping her head back to face him, she spat out the name she has been used to being called almost all her life.
"Number 389."
"Ho..." He opened his mouth to speak but a knock on his side of the window paused all words in his throat.
It was the sexy guy from earlier.
"Is there a problem, Alpha?" He asked, poking his head in and letting his eyes scan all over her body and chair like she would suddenly produce a weapon to attack his leader.
She gladly would though, if she wasn't bound.
"No."
There was a moment of silent communication that she could not understand and suddenly the sexy guy started nodding before backing off.
"You can keep me against my will all you want, but you will never force me into doing your biddings."
"Is that so?" He asked with a crooked grin and the infuriation in her chest grew even higher, bubbling like a venom at the back of her throat.
She was ready to spew it at him at any moment when he suddenly leaned closer, their breath mingling in the gradually hot air between them.
"Stay back, stay back! What do you think you are doing?" She asked, her eyes wide and searching his now black ones.
"Claiming you as mine."
His voice was deeper now and the aura was far different from when he was green eyed.
"You..." She pushed out her cuffed hands at him as her eyes grew even wider from the shock of the realization hitting her.
"Are you real? You are real! What souls have you eaten up you wizard?" She asked, fighting so hard to merge into the car seat.
How did his eyes go back to being black?
"Please stop! Stop this witchery!"
He paused midair and blinked, his eyes now back to being green with a fleeting emotion of hurt.
"I am not a witch, mate." His head tilted to the side but she just turned her head away and faced the window.
"Mate?"
She flinched when she felt his cold fingertips brush against her skin.
"Get. away. from. me." She hissed and pressed her forehead against the window.

"We are here."
She blinked her eyes open at the entirely new city before her, surrounded by the thick forest trees.
"Where are we?" She asked, turning back to look at him, an action she regretted instantly.
She tasted fear at the back of her tongue when she met his half green and half black eyes. His emotion was unreadable as he looked straight ahead.
"My pack." Was his casual response.
"Your...your what?" She stuttered, swallowing almost immediately.
Dragging his eyes to meet hers, the corner of his lips kicked up. "Welcome to my pack, mate."
"Come..." He extended his hand towards her but she only glared at it before glaring back up at him.
"Do you have some kind of animal spirit possessing you or something?"
Shrugging, he pushed the car's door open and stepped out. Almost immediately a pack of wolves rushed out of the surrounding trees towards him.
"WATCH OUUUTTT!" She yelled out of panic before snapping her mouth shut and chiding herself for caring about his wellbeing.
"You can fucking get torn apart for all I care." She hissed only for her jaw to drop when all ten wolves skidded to a stop and bowed to him in submission.
"Wha..." The question died off in her tongue as the wolves turned towards her direction all at once, their piercing eyes staring directly into her soul.
An urgent tap at the window made her jump in her seat, her heart thumping against her ribcage.
"It's high time you step out, human." The sexy guy said, a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Are you out of your mind?" She asked in her hoarse voice, squeezing her eyes shut at the pain in her throat.
"No. You need to meet the council members."
Oh heavens! What in the name of madness was this?
She gaped at him, exasperated.
"What the hell are you talking about?" She pushed out only for her side of the door to get opened.
"No. No." She began to struggle but the tight cuffs on her hands wouldn't let her move freely.
"Uncuff her." The terrorist ordered from where he stood, now looking at her.
With a nod, the lady who opened the door gave way and the sexy guy walked over to her side and uncuffed her.
Thinking really fast for a way out of this madness, the only thing she could think to do was infuriate the mad terrorist.
Grabbing the sides of the sexy guy's face, she muttered an apology before slamming her lips into his.

My husband, the man I had stood by through everything, didn't hesitate. In a blind rage, he ordered a guard to take a needle and thread and sew my lips shut.
"She needs to see nothing. Hear nothing. Say nothing," he commanded, his voice devoid of mercy.
He then had me hung upside down in the lobby of my own wellness retreat, a public spectacle for the world to condemn.
