To Bleed a Fated Bond Chapter 1

On the day my twin pups were due, I bought every suppressant herb in the pack's territory and forced myself to delay labor.

I held on until the next day, just in time to watch my mate, Damien, announce to the entire pack that Selena had been the first to bear him an Alpha heir.

In my last life, I didn’t wait.

I believed his lies. I thought giving him the firstborn would make him mine.

But when my labor started, he murdered our pups inside my womb.

"Selena and her pup died in childbirth," he snarled, dragging me to her fresh grave.

"You tried to steal her son's birthright. Now you'll pay the price."

He killed me with his own hands in front of Selena's grave.

When I opened my eyes again, I had returned to that day.

This time, I would give that family of three exactly what they wanted.

I summoned the healer and demanded he inject me with the final dose of suppressants.

The healer was terrified, pleading with me, “Luna, you must give birth now! If you delay any longer, your bloodline will collapse!”

Before I could even speak, my lips bitten raw, Damien's Beta guards rushed in and forcibly dragged me away.

The healer shouted desperately from behind, “The Luna's vitals are dropping! Interrupting her labor will cause the mother's bloodline to collapse. You'll kill all three of them!”

But the guards turned a deaf ear, roughly hauling me to the Crescent Moon Pack's heir announcement ceremony.

The she-wolves Damien had publicly “favored” were also brought to the scene, some with their bellies already swollen.

Then, everyone, including me, was forced by the guards to drink a bowl of a wolfsbane potion.

The venue instantly filled with shrieks and wails as the metallic tang of blood permeated the air.

“Even if the Alpha's mate has a child, it's not like we mistresses will ever gain any real status. But why do we have to lose our children! Ah, it hurts! Help me—”

I too was forced to drink a whole bowl of the potion. The signs of labor I had just managed to suppress returned as a torrent of blood.

My screams startled the women present, and they panicked.

“The Luna was given the potion too? She's about to give birth!”

“If it's not the Luna giving birth, then who is it? Who wants to take all our lives?”

I was rolling on the floor in agony, gritting my teeth and shouting, “Get the healer! Someone is going to die!”

Just then, Selena, dressed in a white chiffon gown, walked in on Damien's arm. Her face was rosy; she looked nothing like someone who had just given birth.

The moment Damien entered and saw the she-wolves lying on the floor, his expression changed instantly.

Selena, however, covered her nose and shrieked, “Oh my, all these ladies had a miscarriage? Who could be so cruel as to poison them and kill their unborn pups?”

Before she had even finished speaking, Damien glared at me, pinning me to the ground with his powerful Alpha's command.

“You bitch! You poisoned them while I was away! How could you be so jealous you'd kill them and the children in their wombs!”

I was in too much pain to stand, watching her smirking behind him. I gritted my teeth and said, “I didn't... It must have been her—”

“Still not admitting it?” he roared. “This isn't the first time you've hurt someone out of jealousy! This time, I won't let you get away with it.”

He commanded the she-wolves, “Each of you, slap her. Once you're done, I'll send you to the best recovery retreat.”

The guards held me down in the center of the room, completely ignoring the blood gushing from between my legs.

The girls walked forward, crying, and slapped me with tears in their eyes. “I'm sorry, Luna...”

One after another, the slaps landed, leaving my ears ringing and my vision blurry. I could barely hear out of one ear.

Only after everyone was sent away did Damien, satisfied, take the pup from the nanny's arms and walk over to me with Selena.

He looked at me, covered in filth and blood, my cheeks raw and bleeding. For a moment, a conflicted look flickered in his eyes. But the next moment, he lifted his chin and said coldly:

“Don't blame me for letting them hit you. I had to teach you a lesson, so you'll know what happens if you dare to be jealous or harm anyone again.”

“This should stop you from trying to snatch the heir's position from Selena and her son.”

I trembled all over and looked up at him.

So, I wasn't the only one who had been reborn.

No wonder he immediately assumed it was me the moment Selena spoke.

No wonder he said this “wasn't the first time” I had done something like this.

Because in my past life, he had framed me just like this and sentenced me to death for Selena.

My eyes reddened, and he said coldly:

“Elara, it's useless to play pitiful. And it's useless even if you give birth earlier.”

“I've already had the healer prepare Selena's body. This time, she will definitely beat you to it. Whoever gives birth first, their pup is the heir. Even if you give birth, it will be for nothing.”

I gave a bitter laugh, clutching my bleeding lower body, and whispered:

“I already used suppressants to delay my labor, to make way for your perfect family of three. But why won't you let me have my children? Why did you still make me drink wolfsbane and try to kill my babies...”

He froze, his brow furrowed tightly.

“Stop lying. Your due date was last night. I asked the healer; you've already given birth.”

I was drenched in a cold sweat, crying out in pain. I pulled at him, trying to make him look at my still-swollen belly.

His face filled with disgust as he impatiently shook off my hand, not even glancing at my stomach.

“Stop acting. If you want to prove you didn't mean to harm Selena, then at the press conference tomorrow, you will admit that you were unable to conceive and asked Selena to be a surrogate for you.”

"Then, you will relinquish your claim to all pack lands and titles to her and her pup, and you will dedicate yourself to serving them from now on.”

“If you dare pull any more tricks, if you so much as touch a single hair on her head, it won't just be you and the bastards in your belly I'll deal with. That uncle of yours in the Moonhaven Retreat won't live to see another moon.”
