❤️🖤 Twisted Empire 🖤❤️ Chapter 1

[Kalynda Town, Greece~Ambrose Ranch]

The air is blessed with the pure, scentless feel of morning snow, and the atmosphere is too fuckin cold as it's the middle of winter, so the ranch is practically freezing.

A big fruit garden sat pretty at the backyard of the house, and beside the garden, the two uncles could be seen combatting.

Uncle Dave, and Uncle Paul.

Their clothes are off, and they're both glistening with sweat despite the cold as their punches clashed in combat.

No one is winning though, they have same skills.

When their fists collided brutally for the sixth time, they both laughed.

"The day we'll defeat each other, I'll stop drinking alcohol" Uncle Dave said jovially, stepping aside to pick a bottle of alcohol beside the garden door.

"You sure about that? You're married to alcohol" Uncle Paul let out a deep chuckle, and then the backdoor opened, letting out a ethereal beauty.

Straight tall legs, fine gloved hands, black silky hair which poured all the way to the middle of her back, small inviting lips, big enchanting eyes.

Her eyes are drowsy from sleep, and the ropes in her jumper were swirling as she threw her weight on a rocking chair not far from the garden, watching her uncles with an hand to her cheek.

"You're finally awake, baby girl" Uncle Dave pointed his alcohol bottle at her with a wink.

"Baby girl? I'm 24 stop it. Don't even add to my anger" she rolled her eyes to the left, angrily kicking the broomstick in front of her away.

"Get here for training, the sun is almost out." Uncle Paul said, checking the time on his phone.

Teal rolled her eyes to the right. "I'm not training today" she said, stretching her legs.

"Are you still being salty cos of what Stormy did yesterday?" Uncle Dave asked, and she spranged up.

"Yes! Why else would I be pissed early in the morning? Gawd! I wanna sell her organs and eat gum with the money!" She placed a palm on her forehead as she paraded the yard.

Her uncles just stared at her, waiting for her to cool off.

Teal is a painter, but her secret is that she sneaks expensive paintings from the town museum, then she paints their fake versions to sell at large prices.

It has been going well for a year, till Stormy ratted her out to the police yesterday.

She nearly spent the night at the police custody, but thanks to her uncles, she was released.

Unfortunately, she has been banned from painting by the police.

"You wanna have homemade chicken for breakfast?" Uncle Dave spoke, and her eyes flew open.

She jumped down the yard.

"For real?" She asked, standing in front of the two.

"Only if you train this morning." Uncle Paul added, and she quickly rolled her hair into a messy ponytail, taking the ropes that are tied to two tyres on the ground.

She hung the ropes on her shoulders, then she began pulling the tyres, easily down the yard.

She's even jogging with it, and the uncles have a proud smile on their faces as they watched.

She has been training with them since she was 6, and right now there's barely anything she can't handle.

She might be a grown lady, but she'll always remain their darling baby girl.

The training ended in an hour after she sparred with the two of them, then she rushed back inside, taking a fowl from their large poultry.

She got the knife, ready to slaughter it, but then she noticed there aren't any seasoning in the kitchen.

"You should have told me there was no seasoning and I'd have gone to get it before training! I'm too tired to go to the store right now!" She complained.

"Take my minivan!" Uncle Dave shouted from the backyard, and she made faces, returning the fowl to the poultry before changing into one of her uncles shirt that's on the clothesline.

She used her hen-feather cap and left the ranch, deciding to walk since the store is not very far.

The moment she was out of the house, Uncle Paul sat beside Dave at the backyard, taking the alcohol bottle from him to have a drink.

"Sending her to the military to join a deadly squad and marry a weird man...can I really do it?" He said.

"We've been training her for this since long ago... c'mon... Teal is the strongest lady living." Dave replied.

"I know...but this house without Teal? Don't wanna think it" Paul said.

Dave placed an hand on his back, patting him.

"She'll persevere, we only have to tell her after breakfast, and I'm hoping she doesn't crash out" he said.

--

Teal has her small phone in her gloved hand as she did the walk to the store, and she's trying to dial a line saved as 'Rook'

She wasn't paying attention to her path, so she collided into someone, and the phone nearly fell, but she held it tight.

"Sorry!" She quickly said.

"Eat your sorry!" The unfriendly voice spat, and she wasn't surprised to see who it is ...

Morgan... The Sheriff's arrogant daughter.

"Of course it's the tasteless brat, and oh...I take my sorry back" Teal smugly replied, and Morgan left with a hiss, running down the road.

She looks like she's in a hurry.

Teal turned around to continue her walk to the store, but she saw Rook standing there, smiling wide at her.

Rook is gay, her goofy bestie who lives in this same street.

"Was just about to call you, jerk" Teal gave him a slight stomach punch, and he groaned.

"That hurts!"

"Stop the pretence, your body is literally metal" she scoffed, and he laughed, adjusting the elastic black band in her hair.

"And did you just bump into Morgan? You might need exorcism" he said

"I know, right? Bad luck" she replied, and the store doorbell announced their presence as they entered.

Rook got the shopping basket, and Teal picked in as many seasonings as she can so she won't have to come to this store again anytime soon.

They went to the counter to pay, and the girl in charge gave the two of them guilty looks.

She's Stormy, the same girl who ratted Teal out to the police yesterday about the fake paintings.

Teal is a regular in this store, so she got close with Stormy and was thinking of making friends with her too, but Stormy is a jealous whore.

She likes Rook, and Rook's closeness with Teal made her think they're dating.

Spoiler; she didn't know Rook was gay, so she jealously reported Teal to the police, and that caused the malice.

Rook dropped the basket of seasonings on the counter...

"Make it fast, pup" he snickered, and Stormy began calculating the price.

Teal couldn't stop glaring maliciously at her.

"That'd be 10 Euros" Stormy said after she finished calculating and packaged it in a customer bag.

Teal snatched the bag of seasonings from her, then she took the bottle of water on the counter, uncapped it and splashed it on Stormy's face.

Stormy released a throaty gasp as the water fully wet her chiffon blouse.

Some of the water entered her nose, and she began coughing.

"Each time I visit this store, you'll receive water on your face, and I also won't pay for whatever I buy. Crook!" Teal spat, then she waltzed out of the store without paying for real.

"Yunno even if I wasn't gay, I still wouldn't like you. You're below average" Rook whispered to Stormy, then he rushed after Teal.

Stormy looked down at her wet blouse, fuming silently when the telephone on the counter rang.

She quickly picked. "Hello?"

"Have you packed your things? The flight to Athens military base is tomorrow" a firm voice said.

"Yes I have" she replied.

--

"Wait up, Battery!" Rook shouted as he ran out of the store.

Teal has already gone far, so he had not to sprint to catch up, taking the seasonings bag from her.

"I wish the water was hot, would have loved to see her face scalded" she muttered grumpily.

"Enough of Stormy, did you hear about the military enlistment? They're taking males and females starting from age 24..." Rook replied.

"I heard, but aren't they mad? Females in the military? It's not making sense" Teal shook her head.

"Strong females like you would fit the environment though" Rook replied, and Teal stopped, facing him.

"Even if they promise a salary of millions per month, I'm not leaving my uncles" she stated.

"Not leaving your uncles? Even if you get married?" He asked, and Teal took the bag from him.

"I'm never getting married, see you later" She said, leaving him standing and entering her house.

Rook bit the side of his mouth and got his phone, dialling Uncle Paul's line.

He's close with her uncles too.

"Did you stylishly ask her?" Uncle Paul asked.

"She'd never agree. Teal is stubborn, and I'm even scared to tell her that I got enlisted too. She'd hate me for keeping it from her" Rook replied.

Uncle Paul sighed from the other end.

[Athens, DeVille White Castle]

As the house of the powerful General Pedro DeVille, it's a luxury tap...an array of treasures.

General Pedro is easily one of the richest men in Greece. His wealth and expenditures rivals the president's.

The white castle is built on crystal-clear blue waters, and it rose elegantly, it's pristine facade glistening in the mild sunlight.

The white stone walls and towers shimmered like a mirage, and the paradisiacal details invites visitors into a world of refinement.

One can't even get there by car, you have to ride a fancy white boat to it.

There are golden coloured fishes swimming in the clear waters, basking in the everlasting cleanness.

A lanky butler climbed the third tower, clutching a letter in his right hand as he walked to a secluded part of that floor where a single door stood.

He squatted in front of the door and carefully slipped the letter inside the room through the space at the base of the door, then he stood and left as quietly as he came.

The time began counting on the Bulova wall clock, and at exactly two minutes...

The door flipped open, and a demigod stepped out of it, holding the letter in his left hand.

His brown hair sprawled ominously, falling over his brown eyes, and all the buttons of his flannel shirt is down, leaving out his insane eight packs and toned stomach.

He was guiding the wall with his right hand as he walked down that floor, barefoot.

He smells like cigarette with a mix of Tom Ford cologne, and his steps are quiet, his breaths shaking the more he walked. His eyes are dwindling.

It's his first time out of his room after nineteen years, so it's understandable.

"Four!" Yulia climbed up the staircase, her eyes widening as she beheld him outside.

Throughout his years inside his room, she was allowed to go in and see him, but the fact that he never came out nearly ran her mad, so she had to pull the letter stunt.

"Raise the blinds! My son is out" She ordered, and the butlers raised the immaculate binds from the windows facing the water.

"Four" Yulia muttered again, rushing into his arms happily.

He didn't hug back, he just broke it as quick as possible, then he held her firmly by she shoulders, leaning down to her level.

"A lady got betrothed to me? Marriage? She's in the squad I'll be leading? Explain!" He glared, his veins stretching on his neck.

Yulia smiled, scanning his aloof eyes.

"I'll tell you everything" she gently said.
